Racewalking In Croatia
Welcome to the first Croatian official site about racewalking!
Until recently, only a few people in Croatia were racewalking. There were only three races per year, so people were not very interested. You could not see racewalking on the television or read about it. It was a completely forgotten athletic discipline, but the big change happened this very year.
First move was made by Zelimir Haubrih, racewalker from Zagreb (the capital of Croatia), who started with the cross ligue racewalking in his town and also put some racewalking comments and pictures on his club's website. Next move was on me, as I decided to organize along with my club a few racewalking events in my town (Zadar - Dalmatia, second strongest athletic center in Croatia). Zelimir did the same with his club and little by little, the two of us decided to found a Croatian Racewalking Cup.
The final result of our cooperation is the first Croatian Racewalking Cup, consisting of ten racewalking events.
